Group Anthrax
When a wave of blue light traversed the globe, the first thought of many was that it was an attack of some sort. But when the results were stranger than any attack, individuals would need to band together as they themselves, and the world, changed.
So this was the first comic with an actual storyline I tried to produce. I posted it from November 2005 to May 2009. One time, someone told me that people called our high school friend group "Group Anthrax" because "The entire school could get anthrax, and we would keep laughing and joking." I loved that idea, and stole the name for this comic...which was meant to be about a group of friends banding together in the face of worldwide transformations. Eh, we almost sorta got there.

I hate drawing backgrounds. So past me was like, "Photos are fine, right?" THEY ARE NOT FINE. STOP BEING SO LAZY, PAST ME!
Ooh! Starting last page I had new palettes for the characters' skin, hair, and eyes, that were actually pulled from photos of each person! This was a really good move for past me, it really helped me learn how different skin tones can be, and how to develop palettes for characters. GOOD JOB, PAST ME. NOW START ACTUALLY DRAWING HALLWAYS. YES, LOCKERS SUCK. DO IT ANYWAY. (Or just figure out how to draw a few different backgrounds and re-use them the way you're re-using your stupid photos. That's what I do. But seriously. It's hard because you need practice. Do it. Maybe it'll be less painful for present me. This parenthesis brought to you by temporal manipulation. Thank you.)
