Uhhhnnnnnfffffff...streeeeeesssssssss...
So as it stands, I'm set to be $260 short for this pay period. Like. It'd be unreasonably tight even if I had't had to take all of last week off work from having COVID (and should absolutely not be back already, either, but Capitalism), but not quite as dire. So fuck.
Below are my end result budget spreadsheet for February, and my spreadsheet for March so far. Got a ~$40 late fee on my first credit card payment since I waited to get my check clear, and went into this paycheck overdrawn (not as much as before, but still overdrawn) because I forgot to delete an automatic order for cat food. Still need to grab a bag of dry kitty food, so we can stretch the wet food longer.
Apart from that though, I still need to make ends meet. Hell, I still need at least $100 more dollars to be able to afford my health insurance. To say nothing of the fact that I haven't sent a rent payment from this check to my mate, yet.
But because I'm actually monitoring this bullshit this time, I'm not blind-sided by it the way I normally am. I mean, I might have been, elsewise. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that I'd have spent the next two weeks overdrawn. I done shit like that afore. But. This time. This time I might have time to do a stop-gap.
I think I'm gonna try and pick up some Door Dash gigs. It's absolutely not sustainable. Hell, mostly it's not even worth the wear and tear and gas money. Buuuut it might be able to net me enough to get through the rest of the pay period. And I might even have enough time to sign up and get working, since I think it takes at least a week to process the application. Look, I'm doing my best.
Elsewise. I need a more long term solution. "Work more" is high on my list, and as of next week my Friday slots are gonna be pretty full, so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are pretty full up, Monday and Tuesday not so much.
EDIT:
-_- Door Dash is closed to more drivers in this area. Grub Hub is waitlisting. Welp...guess not for this.
