Monies

Ahhh...monies. Monies suck. It's...well, I've got a handle on it for the moment, but that doesn't mean I've got it down all the way. I've gotta make changes to my health insurance, and my web hosting. Not totally sure whether or not I'll renew my ToonBoom subscription this year. I love the software, but also. That's $230. And I only use ToonBoom for compositing It Doesn't Matter shots, something that I could probably do just fine in Resolve.

Theeennn there's the kitties' food. I bought a bag of dry, and enough wet food for them to have one can per day through the next 2 weeks and my next paycheck. Been giving them the wet in the morning, the dry for their lunch and dinner (1/2 can each, 1/4 cup dry each twice per day). Gray has been very sad to not be getting the good food all the time anymore (and also he's sad my partners have been out of town, and also I've not been keeping to my habits the same...he's a little disconcerted baby right now.).

For my food, I picked up about $40 worth of groceries Saturday, which covered bread, butter, jam, spaghetti noodles, vodka sauce, some ibuprofen, and some soap. Sooo...yeah. Not a lot. But enough. I cooked up all the spaghetti and sauce Saturday, and have had that for three meals since, and there's a fourth portion leftover. Today's lunch was my last potato. And yesterday I went to dinner with friends, and ended up NOT having to overdraw myself buying food because the restaurant was only able to split it two ways, so I can pick up a share another time. Score.

^_^;; And then I ordered all the wet cat food, so I'm not currently overdrawn, but I will be, by my below estimations.

But I won't be as overdrawn? I'll take it as a win. It'll send me into the next paycheck not quite as off on the back foot.

Long term, it's still dire, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'll make cuts to ToonBoom, Adobe, try to fix my Health Insurance. But I can't afford to live on what I'm making. -_- The answer is probably to Simply Work More. Easier said than done.
