Group Anthrax

When a wave of blue light traversed the globe, the first thought of many was that it was an attack of some sort. But when the results were stranger than any attack, individuals would need to band together as they themselves, and the world, changed.

So this was the first comic with an actual storyline I tried to produce. I posted it from November 2005 to May 2009. One time, someone told me that people called our high school friend group "Group Anthrax" because "The entire school could get anthrax, and we would keep laughing and joking." I loved that idea, and stole the name for this comic...which was meant to be about a group of friends banding together in the face of worldwide transformations. Eh, we almost sorta got there.

Awww, man! Now we're in the series of pages that Omega Z wrote! I was lonely, and it turns out it's hard to write for your friends, because you don't want to piss them off or be an accidental asshole, and they know how they'd act, but you're guessing. So for a short time, Omega Z became co-writer, which basically meant he wrote the script for a few pages, and then I decided he...wasn't doing what I wanted, I guess. I was kinda an asshole, probably. Buuut...his scripts were a biiiit too wordy. Heh, and I've made some waaaayyy overly wordy scripts!

Hilariously, an early version of the script had "mon ami" instead of "mon amie," until one of our friends who actually took French informed us that "mon ami" was gendered male, and "mon amie" would be female. *snerk* MAYBE I SHOULDN'T HAVE "FIXED" IT!

Version Three

Too many stylized backgrounds. Too many!

In retrospect, "Eh, just leave him in an unoccupied classroom," is not the best plan. Perhaps CARRYING HIM WITH YOU should have made the list. Even if you are letting him charge. Man. I wish I'd written in a comically appropriate extremely large pile of extension cords.
