Astral Deer Painting Series #1 - Dawn Burst

I'm finally starting to paint again! I really want to start doing art events and cons and stuff, and sell art and other swag. So that's becoming a priority I'm working towards, as I took a lot of money out of savings and have my hours at my day job cut. It's big, and scary, but it's also something I'm really excited about.

I'm sorta starting off my painting journey with these whimsical semi-abstract series of paintings built on 31 prompts originally cobbled together from a Deer-cember art prompt listing and another December art challenge. I'm not trying to get these done in a month, though I am hoping to get myself up to one a week, which seems like it'll be do-able.

The prompt for this painting was its name, Dawn Burst. I wanted to show the heart of an astral deer syncing with the bright glare of the sun when it crests the horizon. I'm really excited to be working with physical media again after so long.
